Prevent erosion by eliminating one of below conditions:

  • Small impingement angle on the Tungsten Carbide liner
  • Erosion decreases significant with impingement angle < 45 degrees
  • At 30 degrees the erosion is almost 0.

Choke CFD Erosion Analysis

To design choke valves for severe applications we base our selves on the long term experience supported by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling.

Erosion Analysis
By combining flow visualisation, particle trajectories and an erosion response model we are able to predict erosion patterns at choke and piping for the most severe conditions (sand and choking at 10% – 30% of maximum opening).
